Today Ihad a wonderful time on the golf course. One of my two legged took me for a long walk around the island and when we reached the golf course I was confronted with a fairway full of geese. There was only one thing for it- chase and chase again. I knew this was the right thing to do- or at least Ithought I knew this as they were messing up the course and I thought Gerry the Green keeper would appreciate my efforts to keep the grass clear and tidy, however as I chased them into the water- literally in some cases my two legged became a bit disturbed.
Apparently chasing is fine as long as you do not touch and as I was getting closer to them she started to get worried that I would actually become successful in my pursuit! Little does she understand that when I chase animals and birds it is all in fun and the fact that am never successful is down to skill and constraint rather than my fat tummy and fitness!
Anyway when we got back to the maintenance shed my two legged was talking about my exploits and discussion seemed to be as confused as my directions from the two legged as they seemed to like the geese for fertilising the course but did not appreciate the mess they left behind. So in short whilst a few geese is good many is bad and whilst a wee chase is fun and good catching and harassing is bad--the world is so confusing for a simple dog like me!!
